Celebrity Couple Height Differences You Never Noticed Before: Immeasurable Love

it is often difficult to tell just how tall a celebrity is. When you stack them next to someone, the point of reference becomes increasingly clear. When that other person happens to be their partner, the difference can seem even more drastic. While height differences are common among romantic partners, celebrity couple height differences are often made all the more obvious by camera-ready red carpet appearances. You won’t believe what a difference those high heels can make (and sometimes don’t make)! Read on for some very surprising vertical discrepancies between some of the biggest names in showbiz – and we’re not just talking about your conventional guy-taller-than-gal pairings either!

1. Rhea Durham and Mark Wahlberg (5’9″ and 5’8″)

Though tough guy Wahlberg looks ever so menacing in films like The Fighter and The Departed, the Massachusetts native stands a modest five-foot-three. Wahlberg is somewhat of a renaissance man after having found success as a rapper, actor, producer, businessman and lest you forget, iconic ’90s lingerie model.
A model herself, Wahlberg’s wife Rhea Durham stands a full inch above her husband. They wed in 2009 after an 8-year relationship, and have four kids together: daughters Ella Rae and Grace Margaret, and boys Brendan Joseph and Michael.

2. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo (6’0” and 5’11”)

Though officially, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is an inch taller than his Namibian-born spouse, pictures of the couple show that might not necessarily be the case. Prinsloo was born in South Africa but was raised in Namibia due to her father’s work. Levine was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and has been an active singer since 1994.
The two met in 2012, got married two years later, and traveled to Prinsloo’s native South Africa for their honeymoon. The genetically-blessed couple also has two kids together, named Dusty Rose and Gio Grace. Talk about a gene pool!

3. Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke (5’5″ and 5’7″)

Here’s another adorable couple that proves height, much like age, is just a number. The Harry Potter star stands at 5 feet 5 inches tall, but his girlfriend of 6 years, Erin Darke who stands an impressive 5’7″, doesn’t seem at all bothered by it.
Much like Radcliffe, the Michigan native Darke is also a film and theater actress, known for her role as Cindy on the Amazon series Good Girls Revolt. The two met on the set of Kill Your Darlings in 2013.

4. Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik (5’10” and 5’9″)

This on-agai / off-again couple is definitely one of the more glamorous pairings out there. She is one of the most sought-after models of recent years, and he’s a hugely popular singer as well as a former member of the pop sensation, One Direction.
As supermodels go, Hadid is a healthy 5’10”. At 5’9″, Malik isn’t exactly pint-sized but is a full inch shorter than his very own Victoria’s Secret Angel. This easy-on-the-eyes couple broke up after a two-year relationship, but a recent Instagram post by Hadid showed beyond doubt that they’re back together.

5. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner (5’7″ and 5’10”)

Now there’s a relationship no one saw coming. 28-year-old Jonas Brother/DNCE band member and the 22-year-old Game of Thrones actress are madly in love and aren’t afraid to show it, despite their three-inch height difference.

6. Zendaya and Tom Holland (5’10” and 5’8″)

Though this power couple isn’t officially confirmed yet, rumors about the budding relationship began to circulate after the two self-proclaimed best friends filmed Spider-Man: Homecoming together, with Holland playing a young Spidey and Zendaya as his fellow classmate, Michelle.

Since filming, the two have been gushing about each other on social media as well as on several interviews. More recently, Holland was spotted leaving Zendaya’s house with a suitcase in tow, sending fans into a frenzy. Luckily, the two don’t seem to mind Zendaya’s a full two-inch taller than her adoring costar!

7. Stacy Keibler and Jared Pobre (5’11” and 5’8″)

The multi-talented Stacy Keibler is famous for her acting, dancing, modeling and wrestling skills, and also for her 2-year relationship with then-perpetual bachelor, George Clooney. Clooney has since moved on to marry human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney, whereas Keibler began dating longtime buddy Jared Pobre.

The lanky Keibler first rose to stardom as a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens football team. Since then, she’s delved into pro-wrestling, received perfect scores on Dancing with the Stars, appeared in numerous acting roles and was named the “World’s Hottest Athlete” on InGameNow. Her beau, Jared Pobre, is the former CEO of Future Ads, now known as Propel Media.

8. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth (5’5″ and 6’3″)

The Wrecking Ball singer and her Hunger Games star fiancée don’t let the 10 inches between them interfere with their romance. The couple met on set while filming The Last Song back in 2009, and have been dating on and off ever since.
The Hanna Montana star and her Aussie partner first got engaged back in 2012, but it didn’t last long. They split in 2013 to the shock and dismay of fans everywhere, but have since gotten back together, giving us serious #relationshipgoals.

9. Ari Cooper Deryck Whibley (6’0″ and 5’6″)

Model Ariana “Ari” Cooper and punk-rocker Deryck Whibley officially tied the knot after having gone through a turbulent 2015. The Sum 41 frontman suffered organ failure due to alcohol abuse and spent a difficult month in the hospital. All the while, his doting girlfriend stayed by his side.

Before Cooper, Whibley was married to a fellow punk rocker and Canadian Avril Lavigne, who is a more petite 5’2″. Currently, the 38-year-old musician and his 27-year-old wife continue to both rock and roll while looking happy, healthy and overall adorable together.

10. Peter Dinklage and Erica Schmidt: 4’5” and 5’6”

Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage is best known for his beloved role as Tyrion Lannister on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. Also known for The Station Agent and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Dinklage was born with a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia.

In 2005, he married theater director Erica Schmidt. The couple is known to be very private about their personal lives and although they have two children together they have not publicly revealed their names. “She’s very inspiring. She’s definitely the artist of the family. I am just the TV actor who pays the bills,” Dinklage has lovingly said of his wife.

11. Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher: 6’3” and 5’3”

There may be a whole foot between Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, but this celebrity couple’s height difference seems to be very low on their list of priorities. All Ali G and Borat antics aside, Cohen is a devout Jew and Fisher was ready to do anything to be with the love of her life.

In 2007, five years after the comedically gifted couple met, Fisher, converted to Judaism. “We have a future together and religion comes second to love as far as we are concerned,” the Wedding Crashers actress said before their 2010 wedding. If religion comes second to love, then we can’t imagine how far down height is. Mazel tov!

12. Bella Hadid and The Weekend: 5’10” and 5’9”

Bella Hadid and The Weekend are another pair of celebrities who are shattering antiquated perceptions of gender-conforming social norms that have propagated the idea that men should dominate a woman in stature and other areas of a relationship.

Rarely without her high heels, supermodel Bella Hadid, 21, and singer The Weekend, 28, have been on-and-off-again over the years, but when their star power is combined it’s truly blinding. As two of the biggest names in showbiz, Bella can be seen on just about every magazine cover while The Weekend can be found on stage around the world.

13. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher: 5’4” and 6’2”

From on-again-off-again on-screen couple Jackie and Kelso on That ‘70s Show, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher pledged to spend the rest of their real lives together as spouses in 2015. What’s more extraordinary than their 10-inch height difference is the fact that almost 15 years after they first met, life brought them back together for good.

In fact, Mila Kunis shared her first kiss with Ashton Kutcher on their hit sitcom way back when they had more of a brother-sister relationship. The moment is forever memorialized now and will likely be a fun moment to replay for their two kids, Wyatt and Dimitri.

14. Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond: 5’5” and 5’5”

Okay, so there might not technically be a difference in these celeb heights, but when SNL funny woman Tina Fey puts on pumps there seems to be a disparity. Still, the talented twosome seems to have good humor about the whole thing, with Fey even referring to her Emmy-winning composer husband as “travel-size.”

Still, their heights are no testament to their accomplishments. The dynamic duo met way back in 1994 and have worked together from their early years with Chicago’s famous Second City improv troupe and later on the shows 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

15. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.: 5’2” and 6’1”

Nineties icons Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. still manage to whisk us back to nostalgically simpler times even if they’ve slid out of the spotlight in recent year years. From slaying vampires to stealing hearts in basically every teen rom-com, these two have grown into different roles.

Since meeting on the set of the 1997 screamer I Know What You Did Last Summer and marrying in 2002, it’s not their height difference of nearly a foot that everyone notices. After more than 15 years of marriage with two children, this Hollywood pair still seems just as in love as the day they met.

16. Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky: 6’3” and 5’3”

It’s no surprise that Thor star Chris Hemsworth is just about as massive in real life as we’d expect of the God of Thunder. Measuring in at 6’3” and 220 pounds, the Australian actor truly is a force to be reckoned with.

Making up half of the much-swooned-over Hemsworth brothers, Chris stands a whole foot over his wife -Spanish actress and model Elsa Pataky. Height is no obstacle for this golden couple, however, who married soon after meeting in 2010 and now have three little ones.

17. Jamie Cullum and Sophie Dahl: 5’5” and 6’0”

It’s definitely a double standard that makes gender equality advocates cringe when people say if these celebrity heights were reversed it wouldn’t make much noise. However, for singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum and model-author Sophie Dahl they wouldn’t be more indifferent about their seven-inch height difference.

The English twosome tied the knot in 2010 and now have two little girls together. Of their height, Dahl has said: “I think if we were both slightly more neurotic people, it would be crippling, but the fact of the matter is that we’re both happy. It’s cool.” We couldn’t agree more!

18. Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa: 6’4” and 5’2”

Arguably one of the coolest couples in Hollywood, Lisa Bonet, and Jason Momoa have been together since 2007. Best known for his role as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, the Hawaiian-born Momoa seems nonetheless imposing than his Dothraki leader character in real life – particularly next to his petite wife.

19. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson: 5’3” and 6’3”

This celebrity couple isn’t the first on the list with a height difference of a whole foot or more and we’re starting to think the old saying about opposites attracting really is true (at least when it comes to height).

A few years after pop singer Jessica Simpson ended her high-profile marriage with boy band member Nick Lachey she met her current husband, former NFL player Eric Johnson. The pair is so much more than the height difference between them with two children and years of coupledom to show for.

20. Fergie and Josh Duhamel: 5’2” and 6’3”

Her height might not top the charts, but her music certainly has. Hit-maker Fergie has provided us with some of the catchiest pop tunes of the decade first with the Black Eye Peas and then as a solo artist. She stopped ridging solo in her personal life, though, when she married actor Josh Duhamel in 2009.

The “Glamorous” singer and Life as We Know It actor initially met on the set of his show Las Vegas in 2004. Together they have a son, Axl Jack Duhamel. Although their heights are usually less of a topic of discussion when it comes to this pair, they’ve yet again proved that love isn’t measured in inches and feet.

21. Seth Green and Clare Grant: 5’4” and 5’7”

Height is no match for romance, especially when it comes to a mutual affinity for comic books, TV and fast food. So much was true when it came to the chemistry between comedic couple Seth Green and Clare Grant.

The two first met at a comic book store in 2006 and since then been known to be regulars at the annual Comic-Con convention in San Diego. Along with being partners in their personal lives, the Austin Powers actor and Walk the Line actress have teamed up on his Robot Chicken and her “Geek and Gamer Girls” song.

22. Shaquille O’Neal and Laticia Rolle: 7’1” and 5’6”

Larger than life basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal’s looming height has long been a subject of awe on and off the court. The iconic Shaq wasn’t playing games, though, when he first got together with longtime girlfriend Laticia Rolle in 2014.

Shaq’s lady love is no shrimp herself and while there may be a height difference between them, it’s hardly a relationship foul. In fact, it appears they have a lot more in common than not. At five-foot-six, Laticia Rolle was also a star basketball player during high school and later at Eckerd College. Now there’s a slam dunk for love!
